Jeffrey Bock grew up in Pennsylvania and graduated from Oley Valley High School. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served as a paratrooper from 1992 to 1996 with the 2nd Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division. A unit with a long and distinguished history.
Following his honorable discharge, he enrolled in the College of Education at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. Afterwards, he taught in Orlando for 2 years before moving to New Jersey. Since 2005, he has taught 3rdgrade at Fanny Meyer Hillers School in Hackensack, New Jersey.
In many ways, Mr. Bock is the epitome of what a teacher should be. He goes above and beyond to help and accommodate his students. Thanks to his work, Hillers School has a 4th grade Honor Guard whose duty is to raise, lower, and fold the American flag. For his dedication to his students, Mr. Bock was named Governor Educator of the Year.
He currently lives with his wife, who is also a 3rd grade teacher and his dog Millie. His hobbies include watching the University of Central Florida football, fishing, and kayaking. An enthusiastic outdoorsman, Mr. Bock started a Hillers’ hiking group to enhance the health and well-being of both students and staff.
Mr. Bock, thank you for your service and for your continued service to our youth and community.
