Adam Kerr enlisted in the Army in 2009. He completed basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia. After completing basic training, he was trained as a communications soldier at Fort Gordon, Georgia. Subsequently, he was stationed in Fort Wainwright, Alaska, when he was deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2011–2012 with the “Automatic” 2/8 Field Artillery battalion.
After serving in the U.S. Army, Adam pursued both his bachelor’s and master’s degree in Psychology at Fairleigh Dickinson University; completing a 5 year program in just 3 years.
After graduation, Adam began working with A.J. Luna and the Bergen Coutny Division of Veteran Services as a homeless veterans liaison from 2017–2018. Although Adam has moved on from this position, he still volunteers his time to help veterans in the Bergen County community.
In addition, to assisting Bergen County Veteran Services at outreach events, Adam is a member of the Weehawken American Legion (Post 18) and is a Sergeant at Arms for both the Weehawken and the Hudson County American Legion.
Currently, Adam is an accomplished professional wrestler, going by the name “Adam Payne.” Locals have dubbed him “The World’s Largest Veteran” standing 6 feet and 4 inches tall and weighing an impressive 335 pounds. He has put his athleticism to good use, as he has frequently donated his time for charity or fundraising shows to help a vast array of organizations, including the Bergen County Tracers program and Rutherford Volunteer Fire Department.
Adam also spent 5 years volunteering as a coach for the Lodi Jr. Rams Football program. He has a passion for the game of football, but more importantly focuses on to mentoring his players and teaching life skills that can translate off the field.

Bergen County Division of Veteran Services
The Division of Veterans Services was established in 1977 to provide resident veterans and their dependents with information and assistance in obtaining earned entitlements from federal, state, and local governments, as well as any that are available from the private sector.
Through a quarterly newsletter and direct client contact, the division provides Bergen’s veterans organizations and their auxiliaries and individual residents with up-to-date benefit information.
