Captain Zareh Beylerian is a U.S. Army veteran who served as a US Army Reserve Officer from 1999 to 2007. In 2004, he was deployed to Iraq in a combat tour where he served in the Strategic Political-Military section of the Multi-National Force – Iraq.
His duties in the military included providing training for the Iraqi judiciary and serving as faculty in various international seminars in the United States and West Africa.
Born in Lebanon, Beylerian immigrated to the United States when he was 14. After attending Fort Lee High School, Zareh graduated from Boston University and went on to pursue a legal career, obtaining a J.D. and M.B.A. from Rutgers University and opening his own law practice in New Jersey.
As he began to raise his two daughters in Bergen County, Zareh felt a calling to serve the country that gave him so many opportunities as an immigrant and enlisted in the Army.
After retiring from the Army, Zareh has continued his path as an entrepreneur, while still finding time to volunteer, including joining the Upper Saddle River Ambulance Corps during COVID-19.
He is currently the CEO of worldFlats, a quick serve restaurant that he co-founded with his wife, Nvair, in 2020, which has two locations in Bergen County.
We honor his service to our nation.
