Fr. Peter Sticco, Fairview, served in the Air Force Reserves from 1982 -2002 as a Chaplin and Lt. Colonel and is May’s Bergen County Veteran of the Month!
Fr. Peter served mainly on McGuire Air Force Base in Burlington County. There, he would welcome air force members and their families. He would also hear confessions, conduct baptisms, marriages and funerals.
With his Doctor of Ministry degree in Family and Marital Counseling, Fr. Peter would also act as counsel for many men and women coming back from active duty with PTSD.
Fr. Peter has been serving as the pastor of Our Lady of Grace Church in Fairview since 1998. The church is accompanied by a grammar school located across the street, of which he serves also as a counsel and role model for over 400 students and their parents.
Fr. Peter is the provincial of his order of priests & religious brothers: the Pallotines of the Immaculate Conception Province. He also serves as the mission secretariate for worldwide Pallotine missions with a headquarters located in Rome.
In 2014, in collaboration with the Pallotine Provinces from Brazil, Cameroon and India, he established a mission in a remote area of Ayacucho, Peru that serves the homeless and abused children. He also established an orphanage there.

Bergen County Division of Veteran Services
The Division of Veterans Services was established in 1977 to provide resident veterans and their dependents with information and assistance in obtaining earned entitlements from federal, state, and local governments, as well as any that are available from the private sector.
Through a quarterly newsletter and direct client contact, the division provides Bergen’s veterans organizations and their auxiliaries and individual residents with up-to-date benefit information.
